Low-temperature environments not only reduce workers“ physical capacity but also harden the sole rubber and reduce grip, leading to frequent slip accidents. The new generation WarmStep smart temperature control safety footwear developed by AEGLE integrates a heating film, battery module, and temperature sensing chip into the midsole, achieving the innovative function of ”automatic temperature regulation."
WarmStep determines when to activate heating based on three indicators: ground temperature, foot humidity, and working environment, maintaining an in-shoe temperature of approximately 25°C. Experimental tests show that after two hours of continuous wear in a -20°C environment, the in-shoe temperature fluctuation does not exceed ±2°C, significantly reducing the risk of foot stiffness and frostbite.
In terms of safety performance, this footwear maintains P2-level impact resistance and P3-level penetration resistance, and the sole uses low-temperature-resistant high-rebound rubber, with a low-temperature flex performance retention rate of 72%. Multiple electric power workers have reported that WarmStep greatly improves the experience of pole climbing and line inspection in winter, reducing fatigue.
