Prolonged exposure to high-decibel environments can lead to irreversible hearing damage. Therefore, incorporating noise-reducing earmuffs or earplugs into the standard configuration for emergency rescue and supervising on-site personnel to wear them properly is an important detail for improving occupational health management in emergency rescue operations.
Sudden geological disasters test the entire emergency-management system. EHS teams should maintain adequate PPE stocks and conduct regular donning and response drills so that head, respiratory, and hearing protection can be used correctly when an emergency occurs.
