- Stainless steel — possesses the ability to resist atmospheric oxidation (stainless property) and also has corrosion resistance in media containing acids, alkalis, and salts.
- Powder-coated stainless steel (with yellow ABS epoxy coating) — the outer surface of stainless steel is powder-coated to extend corrosion resistance, providing good resistance to oils, acids, alkalis, and salt solutions.
In general environments, stainless steel emergency shower and eyewash stations can be selected; for harsh working environments, it is recommended to choose powder-coated stainless steel stations that can resist weak acids, alkalis, and salt solutions.

- In polluted air (such as atmospheres containing large amounts of sulfides, carbon oxides, and nitrogen oxides), condensation water can form sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and acetic acid droplets, causing chemical corrosion.
