Fall accidents in construction have long ranked first among the causes of casualties on construction sites. A single piece of protective equipment often struggles to perform optimally in extreme scenarios, making the “integrated PPE kit” a focal point of industry attention.
AEGLE, based on actual needs, has launched a “fully integrated fall protection solution,” including slip-resistant safety footwear, multi-point anchored safety harnesses, and impact-resistant helmets. Tests show that in a simulated 5-meter fall test, footwear-only protection can reduce impact injury by only about 25%, while the full PPE kit, when used in coordination, can reduce the injury level by over 60%.
This solution has been applied in a high-rise residential project in Shenzhen. Through data comparison, the project team found that although fall hazards still exist, the coordinated PPE protection significantly reduces the severity of injuries, with the rate of medical treatment dropping by 45%.
Industry experts believe that the future trend of PPE development is systematic and intelligent. AEGLE is researching a sensor-linked intelligent PPE platform that can issue alerts when workers fail to fasten their safety harnesses or when protection is inadequate, further enhancing construction safety.
